I don't think I've ever told you of this particular annoying habit The Captain has: when one of us walks past his desk, or is walking up the basement stairs behind him, he HAS TO say, in his irritatingly chirpy voice: 'There she is!' ...'There she comes!'...'Here's Aileen!' ...'There's Carol!'...and so on. Sometimes he even follows it with 'Yeeh!'.
Somehow, he only does this to female members of staff - presumably, if he did the same with one of the guys in Management, he'd get punched in the face.
Why he feels compelled to say that every time, I have absolutely no idea. Does he not bore himself?
You should pre-empt him: when you see him, groan "Not HIM again", "Oh no, it's HIM" or, better, "Lock up your daughters!"

Oh no, you hadn't told us that one. I guess you'll never run out of irritating habits to post about. It sounds like he wants to be a game show host. it also sounds like something that would be said on, "The Office", to which we are currently addicted. I want to watch the British version but I heard it's racier so I think I'll work up to it.
